Owen and Twin Brother Nigel, first started to hand-craft stickers from vinyl offcuts scavenged out of the rubbish bin of their work neighbour, a Printer/Signwriter who discarded off cuts back around 1994. Before they had decent computers, they had to take a design, somehow scale it to the size they needed, draw a dark pencil line around the edges, then flipping it over, rub it into the back of the vinyl scrap before painstakingly cutting it out with a nasty pair of scissors. They made surprisingly good-quality decals this way, but it took hours to make, and the money never covered the time spent. They made some designs for their own cars, motorbikes etc, plus those of a few close friends. (See pics this site).

Just over two years ago, Owen finally found a vinyl-cutting machine that he could afford, bought it and got busy. The only advertising that they've ever used, that has ever really worked, has been word-of-mouth. Owen's then wife mentioned to a few people that he could do sign writing, and the general signage jobs started coming in.

At work one day, a fellow staff member at Owen's work was looking for some decals for his Racing Motorbike. Unfortunately the guy he normally used had only ever done single-colour designs and suggested that Owen might take a look. So, then, the Racing-Bike jobs started coming in.

They always have something on, and are always keen to try new stuff. Nigel and Owen co-own a bucket racer, which they hope to get out and play on soon.

Nigel's hobbies include 3D Modeling for Microsoft's Flight Simulator, and entertaining his 1 year old son. Owen enjoys roaring around on his motorbike, a bit of surfing and Hang Gliding in the finer months, and the odd carve down mountains on a snowboard.

We hope you enjoy browsing the site, and if there is anything you think we can do for you, don’t hesitate to contact us. Be patient though, they’re only a small operation and they do have “real” jobs!

Regards,

Owen Booth
